Are you a passionate advocate for animal welfare with a desire to make a meaningful impact? The Humane Society of Bay County is actively seeking engaged, mission-driven individuals to join our Board of Directors.
As a board member, you'll help guide our organization’s strategic direction, support long-term sustainability, and expand our ability to save and improve the lives of animals in our community.
Board Member Responsibilities
We’re looking for leaders who are not only passionate about animals but also committed to strong nonprofit governance and accountability. As a board member, you agree to:
- Serve a three-year term
- Attend regular board meetings (3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM)
- Lead or actively participate in a program, committee, or initiative
- Support HSBC’s fundraising efforts through outreach, relationship-building, or grant writing
- Maintain an active HSBC membership and model professional, respectful leadership
We value board members with experience in areas such as finance, marketing, law, development, veterinary care, nonprofit leadership, or community outreach, but most importantly, we value commitment and compassion.
