Resources for Pet Owners in Bay County

At the Humane Society of Bay County, we’re here to help pets and those who love them. Whether you’re looking for assistance, considering surrendering a pet, or searching for affordable services, our resource center connects you to the support you need.

Pet Food Pantry – In Partnership with the Salvation Army

No pet should go hungry, and we believe no one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their beloved companion.
Thanks to our partnership with the Salvation Army, we provide access to a Pet Food Pantry located at:

📍 Salvation Army Community Center
401 10th Street, Bay City, MI

Food donations that we can’t use at our shelter are delivered to the Salvation Army to help local families in need. If you or someone you know is struggling to feed a pet, help is available.

To donate or Request Pet Food, contact the Salvation Army or the Humane Society of Bay County during regular business hours.

Pet Surrender Requests

We understand that sometimes surrendering a pet may be the only option. While our resources are limited, we review surrender requests case by case to determine if we can assist.

Important: We are a foster-based rescue and do not accept walk-in surrenders. Please complete a surrender request form so we can assess your situation and guide you through the next steps.

Lost & Found Pets
