Make a Difference—Volunteer with the Humane Society of Bay County

Are you passionate about helping animals and giving back to your community? Volunteering with HSBC is a powerful way to make a real difference in the lives of homeless pets. Whether you prefer working hands-on with animals or supporting behind the scenes, we have a variety of animal rescue volunteer opportunities to fit your interests and schedule.

Ways You Can Help

We rely on dedicated volunteers to carry out our life-saving mission. Some of our most needed roles include:

Animal Care & Socialization

Spend time with cats in our cattery or help dogs in foster care with basic training, exercise, and enrichment.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Support

Assist with safely trapping community cats for spay/neuter and return.

Office & Admin Assistance

Help with paperwork, data entry, phone calls, and scheduling.

Fundraising & Events

Join our fundraising team to help plan and run events, donation drives, and outreach programs.

Fostering

Provide temporary homes for animals waiting to be adopted.

Community Outreach

Represent HSBC at events and help educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

Who Can Volunteer?

We welcome volunteers of all ages, but individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We’ll work with you to match your skills, availability, and interests with a volunteer role that’s fulfilling and meaningful.
