Adoptable Dogs

Adopting a Dog from the Humane Society of Bay County
At the Humane Society of Bay County, we’re committed to finding the best possible homes for our dogs. That’s why all of our adoptable dogs live in foster homes instead of a traditional shelter environment. This gives them the opportunity to adjust to home life, receive individual attention, and begin building the skills they need to thrive in their forever homes.
Because our dogs are in foster care, we do not have them on-site for same-day adoptions.
How to View Our Available Dogs
To see the dogs currently available for adoption, visit our Petfinder page.
Each pet’s profile includes photos, personality details, and special care considerations to help you find the right fit.
How to Adopt
If you’re interested in adopting, the first step is to complete our Dog Adoption Inquiry Form. Once we receive your application, our Dog Program team will review it carefully and contact you to discuss next steps, including arranging a meet-and-greet with the dog you’re interested in.
A Thoughtful Matchmaking Process
We take the time to get to know each dog and each potential adopter. Our goal is to make matches based on lifestyle, personality, and needs, ensuring a successful, lasting placement for both the dog and the adopting family.
