Lifesaving Animal Rescue Programs & Services in Bay County

At the Humane Society of Bay County, we’re committed to creating a better future for pets in need. Our lifesaving programs are designed to rescue, protect, and place animals in loving homes, with support from our incredible community.

Programs and Services

Pet Rescue & Adoption Services

We rescue abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals and place them in loving, forever homes. Every adoptable pet receives comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and any necessary treatments before going to their new family.

Foster Care Program

As a foster-based rescue, we rely on compassionate volunteers to provide temporary homes for animals. Fostering gives pets a safe space to adjust and thrive, making their transition to a permanent home smoother and more successful.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for Community Cats

Through humane TNR practices, we reduce the overpopulation of feral and free-roaming cats. By trapping, neutering, and returning cats to their environment, we help them live healthier lives while preventing unwanted litters and reducing euthanasia rates.

Need help with TNR? Contact our Cat Program at catprogram@humanesocietybc.org.

Low-Cost Pet Vaccinations & Preventive Care

We offer affordable vaccine clinics, microchipping, and preventative care support to keep pets healthy and in their homes.

Visit our Events Page to find upcoming low-cost vaccine clinic dates near you.

Humane Education & Community Outreach

We believe knowledge saves lives. Through pet care education, spay/neuter awareness, and community workshops, we empower pet owners and advocates to strengthen the human-animal bond and promote responsible pet ownership.

Emergency Medical Care for Rescued Animals

Many animals come to us injured, sick, or neglected. Thanks to our generous donors, we provide critical medical care so every animal has a fighting chance at a healthy, happy life.
